Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might!
Put on the whole armor of God and fight.
With the whole armor of our Lord,
We will stand against the wily evil one with His sword!
Take up arms and put the Belt of Truth around your waist,
Hurry and put on the Breastplate of Righteousness, we must make haste.
Be sure to shod your feet with the preparation of the Gospel of Peace,
But above all, take the Shield of Faith to quench the fiery darts that will unleash.
Cover your head with the Helmet of Salvation,
Don’t forget the Sword of the Holy Spirit, and move quickly with action.
As you pray with all supplication in the Spirit and patiently wait,
You must carefully watch with perseverance and faith.
Now take up the arms and fight the good fight,
For one day, Jesus will come again and end all plights.
'Til then, have valor, and soon sin and sorrow will be done,
Then Jesus will say: Welcome home, you faithful one!
